I have the honour to saknowledge the receipt
of your Confidential despatch of the 10th of Day, 1929, regarding the desirs of the General Officer Commeniing the Troops, Chin Command, to be relieved of the duties incident to membership of the Executive and Legislative Councils of Hong Kong, and to inform you that the Army Council have signified their inability to support the request of the General Officer Jossaanding, China Comand, who has been informed accordingly. I assume that in these circumstances you will not wish to pressed with the proposal.
A further despatch will be sent to you
regarding the remaining points which were raised in your Confidential despatch of the 10th of May, and the questions in your Confidential (2) despatch of the nethe
date.
